Minty the Greyhound
Minty the greyhound is a retired racer. She finished her racing career in 2022, had a litter of pups in 2023, and has now returned to "work" and a career change. Minty spends most of her days sleeping in the clinic, or outside patrolling the garden. She'll greet or farewell clients, charming them with either a quiet, relaxed manner or with more excitement if they express enthusiasm. She'll allow clients to stroke her head, scratch her ears, or even rub her belly if she's feeling particularly relaxed.
As international research has shown that interaction with domesticated animals can help with lowering blood pressure and maintaining a sense of calm in a person, Minty is perfectly suited to this role. She is also available to provide support for people who are grieving, anxious or stressed.
Minty joined the clinic team in October 2024, after Lucy the previous greyhound passed away at 15 1/2 years old and over 10 years of clinic service.
